War

Am I doomed to this fate?
Bullets whizzing past my body,
Any of them can take my life,
I look back to see men firing at me,
I know I don’t have long now

I know I don’t have long now,
I look back to see men firing at me,
Any of them can take my life,
Bullets whizzing past my body,
Am I doomed to this fate?

I like how the mirror format can symbolize the fact that this must happen to this soldier during every battle and he must be thinking these things over and over again.

Also, war backwards is raw, as in the raw emotion of the piece, or something...
