To read a poem

To read a poem
is like solving a puzzle,
a mystery,
a "read between the lines."
They all have "hidden meanings."

To read a poem
is like picking at food,
finding hidden treasure,
discovering new things.
They all have "hidden meanings."

To read a poem,
a dove is no longer just a dove,
a season is not just a season,
and a color is no longer just a color.
You must find the "hidden meanings."

very nice that's so true I think it'd be a good idea to call the poem Hidden Meanings because that phrase seems to keep on popping up
