"You can't choreograph life.
the kids that made history
look just like you.
curiosity is what you ought to have.
Some pictures are worth a thousand words
others are worth so much more
they inspire you, move you
The proudest moment America ever had
was to elect a black man
for his policies."

Maddie, this is momentous. You have used our speaker's comments and done a magnificent job of incorporating them into this poem. Congratulations! Lynn
I just don't understand what not being able to choreograph life had to do with electing a black president for his policies...
What was your speaker's job? Was he interesting?
Or she. Tracy can go either way. Yeah, it's probably she. Sorry, Tracy.
nope it was a he lol
Hahaha thank you Ms.Winslow!
Gina, there was a speaker... tracy sugarman... who indeed is a "he". he had a lot of really interesting quotes, and i found them very intriguing. so i wrote them down and later that day incorporated them into a poem of some sort.
i think the purpose of the poem was to convey the fact that you cannot plan life, and that throughout history people like us have changed the world. including electing a black man for president. it may not be completely relevant, but i used what i could to get as meaningful of a message as possible.
haha its sorta like my poem "we the people" sorta...
