First, a wink of color
First, a wink of color
Then, a splash of pink
Next, a hint of yellow, purple, orange, green,
While I sit next to the window,
Each splash of color
Drips
Drips
Drips
And the sky turns to blue
Followed by a slew of green
Coloring trees
Grass, plants
Next comes the fading
The sky splashes colors of its own
In purples
Reds
Pinks
And everything settles as it is washed over with gray

Nice job
I was a little confused with the last line (are you watching a sunset?). Other than that your details and imagery was really good! :)
Now that I think about it, it really does sound like you are describing a sunset, where everything gets dark afterward. (Thanks, Kate!)

I would really appreciate some comments as well on this one... (sorry, ebah, for using your post to promote my own piece, but I really need some constructive criticism on this one!!!)
